iSpring Ultra, PowerPoint add-in, is Flash content authoring tool. With iSpring Ultra you can create SCORM compatible e-learning content. iSpring gives you total presentation playback control and tuning available via ActionScript API.

Pros: iSpring Ultra is PowerPoint add-in designed to create e-learning Flash content from your PowerPoint which can be published to any Learning Management System (LMS) conforming to SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 standards. iSpring Ultra also provides ActionScript API for seamless integration of PowerPoint content into Flash or HTML based systems with total presentation playback control. This gets embedded into the PowerPoint toolbar. Accurate conversion of the slide set to Flash is easy however complex the PPT is. Flash movies, created with iSpring Ultra, look exactly the same as your PowerPoint presentations. Animation effects, slide transitions, embedded Flash movies, audio, and video clips are converted accurately into Flash presentation. Sounds and animation are synchronized, there’s 180 odd animation effects that can be applied, set of transitions, master slide with interactive elements, accommodating right to left language strings and vector representation of all objects are just some of the features. Some of the features useful for e-learning contents are availability of a flexible publishing wizard, size & scale control, compression control, reference manager, presenter & company information, output customization sharing through SlideBoom on-line portal. Customizable player options such as, customizable skins, ink annotation, live preview, pre-loaders, customizable player layouts, customizable navigation, slide, text and notes search and full screen playback, lets the playback to learners be suitable for the self paced learning environment. Several output file format options such as a set of separate file or a monolithic Flash file, .EXE or a .ZIP are possible.

Cons: No obvious problems, but with applications with so many options, one can be entirely confident only if all combinations have been tested. Look out for user feedback to find if there are problems.

Overall a nice application. Quite easy to use & learn, useful for making content for learning too, this is a 4 star effort alright.
